Abstract: 

Marine Planning, also known as Coastal and Marine Spatial Planning, Marine Spatial Planning (MSP), Maritime Spatial Planning, Ocean Management or Ocean Zoning is the process of identifying and analyzing the spatial and temporal distribution of human activities in specific marine areas to achieve ecological, economic, and social objectives. Consultation with scientists, technical experts, the business community, stakeholders, and those with traditional knowledge is the foundation of Marine Planning.
