The activities will contribute to improving the competitiveness and viability of the economic entities in this sector, including for improving the safety and labour conditions.

The Greek Operational Programme for Fisheries and Sea (OPFS) 2014-2020 is one of the seven sectoral programs under the Partnership Agreement for the Development Framework 2014-2020.

Measure 5.4 “Processing fishery and aquaculture products” will contribute to achieving the specific objective “Encouraging investments in processing and marketing sectors”.

This call for proposals aims to support activities under Measure 2.2 “Productive investments in aquaculture” in terms of upgrading facilities and diversification of incomes of aquaculture companies.

This action aims at contributing to the eco-intensification of European aquaculture, which has been identified as a challenge to meet global fish and seafood security needs.
