Interaction between people, oceans and seas: a strategic approach towards healthcare and well-being

Description: 

This action aims at designing a plan for the creation of a multi-stakeholder forum that would make possible to better understand the potential health benefits of marine and coastal ecosystems. Proposals should:

  • Create a plan for a multi-stakeholder forum in order to better understand the potential health benefits of marine and coastal ecosystems
  • Identify ways of improving ecosystem services
  • Contribute to decreasing the burden of diseases caused by the interplay between marine-degraded environments and human behavior
Eligible Applicants: 

Applicants must consist of at least three legal entities. Each of the three must be established in a different EU Member State or Horizon 2020 associated country. All three legal entities must be independent of each other.

This call for proposal is open to actions consisting primarily of accompanying measures such as standardisation, dissemination, awareness-raising and communication, networking, coordination or support services, policy dialogues and mutual learning exercises and studies, including design studies for new infrastructure and may also include complementary activities of strategic planning, networking and coordination between programmes in different countries.

Project Length: 

The call opens 04/10/2016 and the deadline for submission is 14/02/2017.
Participants will be informed on the outcome of the evaluation maximum five months after the deadline and the grant agreement will be singed eight months after the submission.

Further Financing Information: 

According to the call for proposal, it is estimated that proposals requesting a contribution of up to € 2,000,000 would allow this challenge to be addressed appropriately. Nonetheless, this does not preclude the submission and selection of proposals requesting other amounts.

The funding rate for this call for proposal is 100%.
