Diversification and new forms of income

Available Funding:

Measure "Diversification and New Forms of Income" aims at promoting environmentally sustainable, innovative, competitive and knowledge-based fisheries characterised by resource efficiency, and in particular achieving the EU’s specific objective for "Improving the Competitiveness and Viability of fisheries enterprises, including the small-scale coastal fleet, and improving safety and working conditions".

Eligible Applicants: 

Sole traders, registered under the Commercial Act or legal persons performing their activity in the Fisheries sector, which:

  • Hold a valid permit for commercial fishing in accordance with the Fisheries and Aquaculture Act;
  • Hold a certificate of acquired right to process fish resources and other marine organisms provided by law;
  • Are owners of fishing vessels, which are entered into the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture Register of fishing vessels, which is part of the Fishing Fleet Register of the EU
  • Hold a vessel’s registration certificate issued by Executive Agency “Maritime Administration”.
Project Length: 

The maximum duration of a project is up to 12 months as from the date of signing the grant contract.

There is not a requirement for minimum project duration.

The deadline for submitting applications is 16.08.2018, 17.00 o’clock local time.

Further Financing Information: 

The minimum amount of the eligible grant per project is 3 000 BGN / 1 533.87 EUR.

The maximum amount of the eligible grant per project is 146 687 BGN / 74 999.87 EUR.

Maximum co-funding percentage is 50% of all eligible costs.

The European Maritime and Fisheries Fund provides 75% of the funding, and the remaining 25% are from the State Budget.
