This weeklong event gathers stakeholders from the sustainable energy sector, and includes conferences, a networking village, and an awards competition.
The Policy Conference will take place between the 23 and 25 June 2020 during EU Sustainable Energy Week. This is the biggest European conference dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe.
Sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders focus on sustainable energy issues, and debate new policy developments, best practices, and sustainable energy ideas.
The Policy Conference takes place in three buildings in Brussels’ Schuman district: the European Commission’s Charlemagne and Berlaymont buildings, and the Residence Palace nearby. Registration for the conference will be launched in April 2020.
Next to the conference, the Networking Village will bring the EUSEW Community together to forge alliances and exchange ideas.
Moreover, the EUSEW Awards will celebrate outstanding projects and ideas in energy efficiency and renewables. Finalists will be chosen from a shortlist of the year’s most successful projects for clean, secure and efficient energy.
The award categories are the following:
- ENGAGEMENT - Recognising activities with high social acceptance potential, that inspire and motivate citizens to change their energy usage habits;
- INNOVATION - Recognising outstanding EU-funded activities that show an original and innovative way to the sustainable energy transition;
- YOUTH - Recognising outstanding activities carried out by young people (below 30).
The Awards Ceremony will take place on 23 June 2020.
