In 2006 the Maltese Falcon was launched, an ultra-modern 289 foot super yacht which uses an innovative ‘Dynarig’ sailing system. This enables the yacht to achieve impressive energy efficiency while retaining optimum performance.
A second Dynarigged vessel, larger than Maltese Falcon, is about to take to the water. The rigs have been designed and built by Magma Structures, a company located in Portsmouth which specialises in composite structures for the shipping industry.
Join us for an exciting technical lecture from Engineering Director Damon Roberts, who will offer an insight into some of the engineering challenges behind this innovative concept and its capabilities.
