The National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, affiliated to the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is organising its annual international conference from 12-14 February 2019. This conference is an important step to put a spotlight on the way in which marine and coastal ecosystem sustainability issues interact with social and economic pressures to reach integrated solutions. The conference will provide a unique forum to assess the impact of the current growth of industrial, commercial and touristic activities on oceans and coasts. In addition to risk analysis, hazards mitigation, ranging from specific assessment of risk to mitigation associated with both natural and anthropogenic hazards on coast to ocean. The conference deliverables will offer the basis for future strategies in the region. The program themes are structured in support of the sustainable development of coast and ocean; and community consciousness of the value of sustainable development. Conference themes include coastal policy and legislation, marina data maangement, marine economy and marketing of marine science.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is 15 December 2018.
